Title: Underwater camera?
Post by: lesab33 on June 15, 2005, 07:55:00 AM
A friend of mine sent me an underwater camera for this trip. My other cameras seemed to get drunk and spill drinks on themselves so she thought this would be better.

Are these just used for underwater photo's or are they also a waterproof camera?  Will they take nice shots of outdoors on a boat perhaps??

We use the underwater cameras for everything.  I get the Fuji ones and they take great photo's.

The great thing about them is that no matter how drunk they get and how many drinks they spill (this is alchohol abuse by the way)  they still keep working.     :D

I like the Fugi underwater cameras too. They are great to take to the beach or the bar  :D  The only thing you can't do with them is take pics at night. No flash. Although, I didn't really look for one with a flash, maybe they are out there too.

Our underwater camera took better pictures out of the water than it did in the water!  Go figure!

Yes, I remember the old 'underwater' avatar your good husband used to use, I could never figure out what it was until he explained.

You didn't buy that camera from Canadian Tire did you?  I know that's where you got the snorkelling stuff from - Never again, I believe the good pastor said.

BTW was the house tidy enough for you on your return, as he was very worrried about it?

I'm trying to invision taking a picture underwater with a snorkelling mask on ?? It just somehow seems awkard ?   Perhaps my camera can have a cervesa or 2 to feel more comfortable. At least it's waterproof.    <img border="0" alt="[wine2]" title="" src="graemlins/wine2.gif" />

I don't think I'm ready for a digital yet.  Maybe next trip.  I use the 1 time disposables.  Find they are not bad.  If they behave with the mojito's.

The excitement mounts - is it tomorrow you fly?

Still time to nip out to buy a digital camera, I wouldn't be without mine I can assure you.  I've had one since 1998 and am on my second one now.

They are improving all the time and you can store so many pictures these days on the memory cards.   Go treat yourself!!

Yes ....1 more sleep ... 1 more work day!

How do you develop the pictures??  I don't have a good computer to download.  It's very old and doesn't do all the fancy things.  Mind you I am at work with great high speed.  Is there something I can do ??

Please give me the Digital Camera for Dummies  ABC's.

I just download mine onto the computer and rarely print them off.  Your camera will come with a cd that will install the necessary software needed for you to download the photos to your computer, but of course if your computer doesn't have a cd rom or a usb port then you'll have a problem

However if you take your memory card into shops that do developing and printing they can print them off for you.

Ahh... that could be an issue. Installing the software. They do things on our computers so there are certain things we can install.... but that could be just downloading from the internet.

I will have to look into that. I have my underwater and a 3 pack of disposable cameras. I'm sure I'll get some nice photos.

Perhaps for the next trip I will investigate if I can do this at work.

I guess that's how everyone show-offs their photo's.   Maybe I can scan a few of mine and post??

Firstly.... let me get those photo's.

 1 more sleep !!!

Lesab, when you take your disposables in for developing, ask for a cd rom. You can load the pictures on your computer and share them with us  :)

Or as you say, you can scan the ones you want and share them with us that way.

Please remember, we want to see a pic of you and renhab salsa dancing  :)

Try and do as mojitomiss_cuba says and get the photos on a cd.

We all want to see you having a good time and those salsa dancing shots will be a real bonus!!!

Most of all though enjoy yourself and party.

What an education.  Never thought of it....a CD.
 I will definetly do that.

However I am not photogenic so you won't see me asking anyone to take my picture....but you never know happens to a person with a bit of beach & sun.
