Title: Pics in Finally!!

Finally, got my pics from Barcelo Marina Palace trip into the gallery  :)  
 
 Only one small problem, cant seem to get the vote thingy out of there...put it in by accident, but I suppose it could be fun!

:)  I enjoyed your pictures very much and they gave me a good idea of what the resort is like--Very nice.  What is the beach like out there and is there much shade?

 Sorry there aren't many beach pics I had scanned them into my computer and couldn't get them to upload. I'm afraid that's going to be another project for when I have more time, I'm pretty technically challenged  :(   The beach is man made and has quite a few shells and there are plenty of palapas, but no natural shade there, as I believe is pretty much the norm for Varadero.

:)  Looks and sounds like one of the resorts to keep an eye on when watching for vacation deals.  The reason I asked about the beach is that I thought I read somewhere that the beaches farther out on the Peninsula were not as nice but from what you describe it sounds great.  The pictures from Havana sure bring back memories.  :s:

Well, the sand isn't the pure white powdery stuff you'd find farther down the peninsula, that will take a few years of weather and sun to change that, but I can't imagine a beach that isn't that nice in Cuba  ;)  I posted a report on Debbies site and it describes the resort & beach pretty well I think.

The beach is best closer to town, but saying that the whole Varadero strip beach is awesome.  It definately has the WOW factor even at the end of the Peninsula.
 
 They were dredging the sand out of the ocean to make the new beaches when we were there.  So although it is manmade it is still natural sand.  It just needs to be softened up a bit and that will come with time.

Well thanks Bulldog  :o   I inherited the "legs without ankles" straight from my dear old Grannie!  :roll:
