What a reception I had here last Wednesday on my arrival, it was totally overwhelming.
It was just as though I had returned home after being away for years.
I would very much doubt if there is a more friendlier resort anywhere than the PP, every one here seems to know me, I really cannot believe it.
We have had quite a lot of rain in the night but the last two days have been glorious. Overall the weather has been very hot and there are plenty of mosquitoes!!!!
I have my supply of mint, but it proves too popular with other guests. Have fresh supply lined up for Huskypup for her Thursday arrival!!!
BTW: The clocks did not go back as you probably know!!!
Have met up with Stevenbev and family - great couple.
A having a GREAT tie her with MY FRIENDS.
I love the PLAYA PESQUERO.

Good to hear from you Ken! Keep those mojitos flowing my friend. My wife and I had mojitos every day at the SCG. I think it was around 3-4 mugs/day. No shortage for us this year. In fact I'm keeping it going by buying some mint here at home and have made my very first mojito...turned out pretty good too. Looks like it will be mojitos grandes in the ice hut this year!

Certainly sounds like you are have a wonderful vacation...so happy for you.
We have just finished handing out treats to many goblins and witches for Halloween this evening.
It is "bloody cold and damp" in Central Alberta tonight..unlike the warm evenings in Cuba.
Make certain to put on your repellant several times during the day/night ..don't want those "vampire mossies" biting you.
Gary said he'll be growing some mint for you in the garden next year so when you come to visit us in Fort Saskatchewan, Alberta..you'll have an ample supply for your favourite drink.
Have a "super holiday"...still don't know where we'll be this coming Dec 6th for our British friend's wedding since Cancun has suffered and is not a place to visit at the present time.

Terrible thunderstorm as I write, though we have have beautiful weather these past 3 days.
There was a cocktail making afternoon yesterday - MOJITOS!!!!!!!!
I drank 15 in the afternoon - boy was my head spinning. Went to bed at 8pm!!!!!
Having a fantastic time. Just eaten in the buffet and I have to say the food is excellent.
Hope Huskypup has a good flight - I will be waiting for her!!!!

This is one thunderstorm. I have never heard such loud thunder in my life. It is absolutely throwing it down with rain.
Looks like I shall have to stay at the bar toninght. It is one clap of thunder after another and nearly continuous lightning.
Time is nearly up - LOVE TO EVERYONE.

Gosh, not that I'd ever wish for rain on anyone's vacation, but it sure has been good for us to hear from Bellagio! :D Can't wait for updates on the visit with Huskypup.

Hi. All.
Back online AGAIN. Weather has been stinking hot since that thunderstorm.
Steve and |Bev go home tomorrow. Met Huskypup as promised off the coach with the mojitos. She was upgraded to a superior room.
First day though on Friday she was bitten by a fish in the sea and her foot swelled up badly and she needed injection. She loves it here, though. She is in the bar at the moent.
I'll be looking oput for Newfiegirl - I know her arrival time.
Still having a great time - the weather is just beautiful. HOT, HOT, AND VERY HOT.
Resort is 60% full.

That's great you've met up with huskypup. Wonderful she's been upgraded. Sorry to hear about her foot and let's hope her being in the bar has taken her mind off of that!
Glad you're looking out for newfiegal b. She is soooo looking forward to this trip.
If the resort is only at 60%, are all of the restaurants open? Hope the answer will be in your review.
Also hope the weather stays hot, hot, hot in Cuba for mo-miss!!!!

This place is out of this world, we are havig a great time, despite 2 injections in my backside and walking with a limp and a very swollen foot, I stood on a small puffer fish and boy did it hurt, I have never cried so much in my life, I was rushed to the medical centre, who diagosed what it was straight away and with in 10 mins was on my way back to my room - the staff here are great.
We are already coming back here next year.
Though I do think I managed to out drink Bellagio the first night, we all sat eating pizzas at 2am in the morning.

Sorry to hear about your foot Huskypup, sounds a little scary. Hope it settles down and you can get on with enjoying your holiday.
Hope both you and Bellagio have a fantastic time and I look forward to your review when you get back. At least you have a great excuse to put your feet up and relax and enjoy the sunshine!!

good to hear that you arrived safe and sound and met up with Bellagio.
I'm sorry to hear about your foot, you really need to be careful in the snorkelling area there. I know a few people that hurt themselves.
I'm sure that a few mojito's will help to ease the pain a bit.

The weather here is still very hot, and we are all nursing hangovers today, we finally got to bed at 5am this morning, Bellagio baled out at 3am as he is leaving today, he is quite a good dancer (Bob Marley and Abba in the disco) :dan:
Not seen Newfigal yet, so not sure what state her head is in.
Foot alot better now, though still struggling to put shoes on, have done the speed boat trip and off to Countryside tour and dolphins tommorrow.
We are waving Bellagio off at 4.15pm, it will be a shame to see him go, he is lovely.

Hi all.
Back in the boring UK again. Stopped off in St. Albans where I am posting from now.
They need me to babysit tomorrow, so am undecided whether to drive home or not.
Huskypup saw me off yesterday afternoon and everything went smoothly.
Newfiegirl and Cookster will be joining us on 7 Days on their return. They both are characters and we had a great time and so many laughs - particularly about the mint leaves.
I can't say it's good to be back - I've left my heart at the Playa Pesquero, it's just my body that back in the UK. It still is a wonderful resort.
Thanks everyone for your good wishes on this thread - I have an awful lot of catching up to do.
If you read this Huskypup before you come home - just keep ordering one extra Mimosa and drink it for me. I'm missing everyone already.
Tell all the staff (particularly Erasmo) that I arrived home safely and am missing them so much already. I do hope that Mailin returns to work before you leave so you can see her once more before it's time for you to go.

Still no sign of Mailin, off to see Erasmo in a bit, as my foot has now turned black, but strangely doesn't hurt.
Its not the same here without and yes we will order one extra mimosa for you, had quite a few of them last night
The weather has changed abit, has been raining on and off since yesterday, but still very warm.
Off on Catamaran tommorrow, if foot hasn't fallen off my then!!

Thanks for posting. I have sent you a PM. Sorry to hear about your foot, glad it isn't spoiling your holiday though.
Pity about the weather but at least it's still warm there. I've been watching my grandson playing football this afternoon in St. Albans and though it was 10C, it was bittterly cold - I retreated to the car after 15 minutes.
Please give my regards to any of the animacion staff you bump in to and tell them I am missing them so very much.
Enjoy your last 4 days and keep on drinking!!!!!

It was really great meeting up with Dana and yourself. Seriously a week is just not long enough. Maybe that's why they named the drink Crazy Canadian - 'cos you only seem to spend one week in Paradise.
