The people in Cuba are so friendly, from the resort staff, to the vendors, to the people on the streets.  It's great to share a bit of their lives.

:off:  My (ex) American husband loves to go to Cuba to annoy his very American Mom (she loves Bush and thinks Fox news is gospel!)

But apart from that - we love to go to Cuba because it is beautiful, the people are wonderful, it's relaxing and peaceful for us (we don't go to cities), we enjoy the natural surroundings, slower pace of life, and just the feeling of stepping back into a better time.

Lack of annoying commercialism you find in most tourist destinations...
ie: KFC, Starbucks, and yes, Americans ( not all, but if the shoe fits)
 the pace of life there....
the warmth of the people and hospitality
My idea of Hell on earth is a Disney cruise!
Cuba is the exact opposite ( though to clarify, they do love children, just don't need all the doodads, and lessons up the whazoo to have fun!)
 Karen  :)

The Cuban people will always say Ola and give you a smile without a "whats in it for me"

The people - they are so down to earth - refreshing in this day and age!  And of course the scenery and the beaches - that doesn't hurt either  ;)   ;)

......... All of the above
Being in Cuba is like being in a time warp.  Like anyone else I do not know the exact direction Cuba will go in "Post Castro" and  I am glad I can visit at this point in their history. It is interesting  seeing  rather than  hearing  what life is like within a Communist Country.  Add this to all of the above reasons and how could I not love Cuba?

It's like going to "Summer Camp" (in the winter months of course)..know that sounds strange but after twenty some trips the familiarity is rather comforting.

We've gotten to know the "systems", know what to bring and "feel right at home" for the few weeks we are there.

Here we go again... this November.

For me it is most of the things listed above but also the passion that all of you have for this great land.
