I remember reading that there are 2 lines to get through Customs in Holguin ... don't stick around the first one, but venture a bit further and there will be another line that is MUCH shorter. Any truth to that? Leaving on Feb 21st, would like any other hints you got!!!???
Cheers!

We never had a problem in Holguin, it was the fastest I've ever experienced.
When we got through customs our luggage was already on the other side, and sitting on the floor waiting for us. Amazing!!
I guess it depends on what time of year and how many planes are landing at the same time.

I was impressed with customs and security checks at Holquin airport it was better than what I was expecting, we went through without any hassle, the luggage took a while to come through, changed some money while we was waiting, we arrived at our hotel within 2 hours of arriving in Cuba

Our experience was like Heather's, though I should say we arrived late at night and I think they just wanted to get us the HECK out of there!! The luggage was unloaded very fast, but the money exchange was slooooow :)

Both HB and myself were stopped at immigration in Holguin in November, we were repeatedly asked what we do for a living - being military we never say what we do, I usually say clerical and my HB says driving examiner - which technically we are not lying - I sort of wondered if they knew, we were in seperate lineups yet both customs guys asked for a supervisor to check us in.
Saying that they were very polite and apologised for holding us up.
