Title: Wedding in Holguin . . . where to go
Post by: mojitomaniac on September 11, 2006, 07:34:00 PM
I am planning a wedding for January or February 2007 and am wondering if anyone out there has either got married or attended a wedding, or even seen a wedding at Sol Rio de Luna Mares, Playa Turquesa or Playa Costa Verde and if so, which of the 3 would be the nicer place for a wedding.

I have been to Rio de Luna Mares 3 times so have a fair idea of what to expect there and so want to compare with the other 2 that are in the same sort of price range.   I also have been to Playa Pesquearo and wasn't too thrilled with the size of the resort and am looking for a smaller resort.  I have gathered from my research that Playa Turquesa is also large but with half the amount of rooms as PP,  I would expect it feels a bit smaller.

Any info would be greatly appreciated.  Thanx.

That Woman and I, were privilaged to attend a wedding on the beach at the PCV.  It was a sunset wedding, with a beautiful arbour set up, under the trees on the beach.

The Italian a la carte was booked for the wedding party, and they held an "open reception" in the disco, later that night.

Hi
In March 06, I stayed at Blau Costa Verde.....which is smaller than the other Costa resorts.  Closer to the beach and nicer beach area.  This resort has a beach bar.  We did witness a wedding taking place on the beach at dusk with a huge bonfire, buffet and beach bar right on the beach for the reception.  It was in Spanish of course but so beautiful.  This resort was very well organized in every aspect.  I don't know if they offer a wedding package, but it might be worth the asking if you have not already booked.  The food was fabulous, I have been to Cuba about 10 times and have never eaten so well as I did on the last trip.  The a la cartes were wonderful, I would recommend this resort highly.  Expecially for a honeymoon.
