The whole service treatment was decadent.  It was amazing.

It has certainly spoiled us for anything else.

It was definitely decadent to have your lunch and drinks delivered to you at your beach chair, or even by the pool.

Welcome back !!!

Nice to hear you had a wonderful time, how could you not looks like a beautiful resort, that would sure spoil me too !

How were the mossies ? with only 35 people there did they have any nightly shows ? Do they expect more business in the future ? I'm thinking on booking there or Meliá Cayo Santa María for Oct 21st.

thanks for the welcome back, but I wish I was still there.

The mozzies were bad but then they started fogging and it wasn't too bad after that.
The noseeums would sneak up on you though.     :D

If you are thinking of going to this area, then I would highly recommend Ensenachos.  For the price there is no comparison to the Melia.

There was no nightly entertainment, but one night they brought in the Cuban Symphony Orchestra that played in the lobby.  They were fabulous.

They will be having entertainment once the occupancy level increases, but it wasn't worth it for so few guests.

They are expected more guests, and by December they expect that they will be in full occupancy mode.  They already have bookings for Dec, Jan and Feb.

Now is the time to go, and enjoy it while it's quiet.

Wow - gorgeous photos, I can't wait to see more of them!

Heather and John, you were so fortunate to enjoy that gorgeous resort before the hordes descend!  My only question, are you concerned about your standards now being raised so high that you'll never be able to settle for less in a resort?

 Welcome back!

Laura, we certainly enjoyed the pampering but I don't think it totally spoiled us.

If I book a 3 star resort then I go with the expectations of a 3 star.

Ensenachos is advertised as a 4.5 star, but once it is fully operational it will be Cuba's only true 5 star resort.

If you want pampering, then this is the place to go because they cannot do enough for you.

It's not going to be a lively activity filled type of place.  It is for the clients that want peace and quiet and tranquillity.

It may not be for everyone, but we certainly enjoyed it.

Ah, the sign of a great traveller Heather.  You go with realistic expectations, I wish others would do the same.  There's nothing worse than someone booking a 3-star and expecting 5-star service.

:7:  Flopnfly:  Welcome back!  That really  must have been 7 Days in Paradise!  What a beautiiful resort!  I was surprised to see so many flowers and so much vegetation in such a new resort.  I am glad you enjoyed your stay and thanks for sharing your pictures so soon.

It really looks fantastic Heather and John.

We took a tour of Princesa del Mar in June and the architecture at RHE reminded me a lot of that resort.

From looking at your pictures, RHE looks like it is on a bit of an inlet, is that the case?

So when are you returning?  Is it the new locale for the 7 days trip in April?  :D

Great pictures.  The resort looks beautiful.  It's weird to see all the different  areas and yet it looks deserted.

The vegetation is still young, but it is going to be beautiful in about a year.

It also reminds me of the Princessa Del Mar.  That was built as a Grand Lido, and this resort is in the same style as the Grand Lido.

The beach is in a small cove ( not so small, it takes about an hour to walk the beach).  It is very sheltered, and everyday is a green flag day.

Heather, thanks for the stunning pictures !!!

How was the flight with Westjet ? I have never flown with them, I hear there is lot's of leg room also tv's on the back of every seat so you can watch whatever you want, it would sure help make the time fly   :D
Is the bus ride to the resort really 90min as stated in the travel book ?

Westjet is ok.  there is more leg room but the seats don't seem to be that wide??  There are TV's on the backs of the seats with some TV shows, news etc.  You can watch a movie by swiping your credit card for $5.  There is a swipe right beside each TV.

I had to sit beside a family with a toddler that screamed the whole return trip.  She was really screaming, it was making peoples teeth hurt.

Dear Flopnfly:

Thank for the great pictures. The resort looks absolutely fabulous. Can't wait to go there.

We are always concerned about what the weather might be like this time of year. Did you have much rain??

We had great weather !!!  We were worried about travelling during hurricane season too but we had nothing to worry about.

It did rain through the night a couple of times, but we never heard it or saw it.  One evening just before dinner we had some black clouds roll in and we had a quick thunderstorm.  It only lasted about an hour and then it was over.  It really cleared the humidity.

We stupidly stood and took pictures of the clouds not realizing that we still had to go out for dinner, and we should have left before the rain.     :D
