Great review Ruth, thanks for sharing this with us.
 
 This is one resort that we are always considering, mainly because it gets such great reviews, and repeat visits from guests.  
 
 Breezes Jibacoa sounds like a wonderful place, and I'm looking forward to seeing your photos.

That is really an excellent and comprehensive review Ruth.
 
 It has always been on the list of places for me to visit and, who knows, I may make it there one day.
 
 I know Amanda from Scotland has been there every year for the past six years and in fact got married there this past June.

Thanks for the very informative review Ruth.  As others here have said, that resort has been on my list for a number of years now.  
 
 So many resorts, so little time (and money)!

  We really must consider the Jibacoa for one of our next trips.  
 
 I've heard that the snorkelling is incredible, but what about the diving?
 
 Crestfield did you hear any comments from the divers on the conditions?

Sorry, didn't get to chat with any of the divers while there, but did see a fair number of divers going out with the dive hut guys almost daily. I'll have to do a little snooping around on some of the other forums as I'm sure there's been mention of the diving. Wouldn't mind trying it, but you can see some pretty good stuff by just snorkeling so haven't really bothered to take the time to get the free lesson.
 We really enjoyed this resort and I'm sure it had a lot to do with the fact that we went with quite a crew (13 in total for the 2nd week) But it really has been the first resort we've gone to that we said right away we would return to a 2nd time. Keeping my fingers crossed that we won't be disappointed for 2007  :roll:

  I miss that place , it was the only place that brought tears to my eyes when I was leaving ! someday I will for sure return ! Perfect size resort, wonderful people , food was good, the snorkelling is amazing , I love to snorkle, I'm afraid to dive.
