Hi Milli and TGIF!
 
 I noticed that you have been to this resort and we are fast approaching our trip there.  I know this maybe a silly ???, but I wanted to ask if there are safes in the rooms at the Melia.

Sorry Lovinlife:  I didn't see your post.  When we were there in April '05 there were room safes in the closet. They required a key that I believe you paid 20 CUC for but this was refunded when you turned the key in.  If you have any other questions about Melia LA feel free to ask.  This was the resort we visited on our first trip to Cuba and we loved it there and would gladly return.
