:7: Very nice pictures Huskypup, thanks. The beach in that area looks amazing - especially on this cold, gray, and rainy day in Canada!

great pictures huskypup!!
we just booked last night to the melia las dunas for february.
must say though, there is photographic evidence that ken does not wear that blue shirt all the time!!!!!!!!!

Yes they are great pictures Nancy. I must say I look terrible on those photos of me at the PP.
With regard to the latest photos, I particularly liked the shot of Dickie sitting by the lake across the road from the resort. That brought back many happy memories for me, as did the views of the beach.
Loved the cigar factory photo and the ones in Havana too. Most enjoyable and thanks for sharing.

Just now trying to convince Dickie to go back in May 07, found a really good deal with Thomas Cook, two weeks leaving 14/05 for the Las Dunas for £649, though it has probably gone up since Sunday, it is wavering though, we are having a new kitchen put in at the moment, and he is so fed up with it, Im sure he'll agree by the weekend, plus I know that he wants to go back to Havana - there were guys on our coach, who were just using the trip as a taxi, didn't stay in the hotel in Havana with us, they had booked there own guide and were staying in a Casa.
I fell in love with Cayo Santa Maria the moment the coach pulled onto the causeway.

I know exactly what you mean Nancy about fallling in love with Cayo Santa Maria.
If I were looking for a beach holiday I'd be there like a shot.
I sure hope that the Las Dunas deal will still be available by the time Dickie makes up his mind.

Huskypup, thanks for sharing your amazing photos. They brought back many happy memories from my visit to Cayo Santa Maria. I hope you are able to convince Dickie to book Las Dunes, I'd like to do so myself.

Just had a chance to view your pics.
Fabulous!!! That beach is amazing, and I love the Che memorial. I'd go back again just to see that.
Las Dunas sounds promising, hopefully you can make it. It is supposed to be modelled on the Playa Pesquero.
