Title: Have you been to Cuba in early May?

Having a hard time getting our trip off the ground this spring. Looking at May 5-12th. Has anyone been to Cuba during this time frame. Trying to get a sense of the weather. I know that is the start of the rainy season. What has your experience been. We are looking at the Varadero area. Thanks.

BM, I was in Cuba at the end of April and the weather was beautiful.  Friends went last year the first week of May and they had great weather too.  What part of Cuba are you looking at?  We were in Cayo Coco and my friends were in Varadero.

We've been in April and May and both times we've had fantastic weather.
 
 Hot, hot and hot without the humidity.  
 
 Don't worry about the weather, it'll be great!!!

Yea we were in Varadero last April and it was stinking hot  :D  The weather was wonderful.   :dan:

Thanks for the replies, I'll file them for another year. Varadero didn't work out for us this year.
 
 We are booked to go to the DR,  Viva Wyndham Tangerine in Cabarete. Got a great deal.  There are four of us going this trip. We had a two or three day window for departure from Halifax (other commitments). When we finally booked, it was like a weight had been lifted.
 
 In three weeks I will be leaving for Edmonton to visit my daughter and maybe Debmich. We leave for our DR vacation 2 1/2 weeks after I get home from Edmonton.   :D
