Title: Varadero Hotels

Can anyone recommend any hotels in the Varadero area.  We loved the Playa Pesquero last year but because of the dates we are flying it will need to be the Varadero area if we go in May this year.  
 
 Theres also the possibility of the Cayos but I need to do more research as these sometimes show and then other times don't!!
 
 I prefer larger hotels, with plenty of restaurant options, nice pool, good beach and fun resorts.

 Any of the newer hotels at the tip will suit you just fine I think.
 
 Sandals Hicacos is fantastic if you're going as a couple.
 
 I've heard good things about the Iberostar Varadero and Barcelo Marina Palace.
 
 Tryp Peninsula is great for families.
 
 I'll have to look up the new names for a couple of others, they've all changed since I was last there.

My wife and I stayed at Bella Costa in February and it was great.  A bit tame but my complaints were minor.  It was affordable and very close to town.  I can give you a link to my review and share photos if you're interested.

barbudos, I'm contemplating varadero in the fall and the Bella Costa is on my short list.
If we go, I'm leaning more to the resorts closer to town rather than the newer ones at the end of the peninsula. I would love to see some of your pics. I believe your review is posted over at Debbie's? Would you also post it here?
