I heard on the news last night aqbout a Diver drowned yesterday in Hamilton harbour while on a low budget movie ....
The man and his wife where both woking on the movie..doing some sort of fake shark thing..

Diver Dies During Monster Movie

A 43-year-old scuba diver died in Lake Ontario on Sunday while working on a low-budget horror movie.
The diver was working on a movie called Marina Monster near the Hamilton dock when the tragedy occurred.
He and his wife were towing a prop shaped like a shark in waters about four metres deep when the woman surfaced alone.
It's believed the man was underwater eight to 12 minutes before he was found.

I just wonder what went wrong. 4 meters, is only 12 feet, and that's hardly a dangerous depth. Maybe faulty equipment, or a contaminated air supply.
Then again, a lot of times they report a "diving accident" when in fact, it was a heart attack, that happened while diving. The diving itself was not actually the problem.

POMPANO BEACH, Florida (28 Nov 2005) -- A tourist from Virginia died while scuba diving off a dive boat operated by Scuba Time.
Broward Sheriff's Office homicide detectives told CDNN the victim experienced problems breathing at the surface as he prepared to descend for his second dive of the day.
The struggling diver was pulled aboard the dive boat and rushed to shore as other divers administered CPR. Six people were aboard the vessel including the captain and a group of five divers.
Pompano Beach Fire Rescue responded to the diving emergency and reached the dive boat at about 12:30pm near Riverside Drive.
They treated the victim as he was taken to North Broward Medical Center where he was pronounced dead.
The accident is under investigation, however, police do not suspect foul play.
The death was the second scuba diving fatality in Broward County in less than a month.
A New Hampshire man was found dead in scuba gear in the waters off Fort Lauderdale two weeks ago.

POMPANO BEACH, Florida (5 Dec 2005) -- A scuba diver who died off Pompano Beach after complaining of breathing problems died from natural causes.
A medical examiner has determined that Hubert Matthews, 64, died of cardiovascular disease.
Mathews experienced problems at the surface prior to descending on his second dive with Scuba Time, a dive boat operator.
Friends who were part of the dive group pulled the victim aboard the dive boat and initiated CPR while heading back to port where paramedics were standing by.
After the boat reached shore, Matthews was rushed to North Broward Medical Center where he was pronounced dead.

The first report, makes it look like Scuba diving was the cause of death, but in the revised edition, he could have just as easily died playing tennis. Just goes to show how "skewed" press coverage can be.
