Should I be able to log in to the photo gallery it does not recognize my user name

the gallery is unfortnately a separate piece of software from the forums, so the login will not go across. We can set you up with a login, and email you the details

I have just created a new Photo Album, still 'hidden' from general view of my photos from the Playa Pesquero. I have the following two queries.
1. When I am happy with it, can you change the link to my photos in my review of the Playa Pesquero from Photobucket to 7 Days in Paradise.
2.When I had uploaded all my photos, I decided to delete photo 3 from this new album and create a new photo No 3 in its place which it has placed as the last photo in the album. When I have tried to move the photo to occupy position No. 3 in the album I get this message:
Fatal error: Call to a member function on a non-object in /usr/local/www/7days/gallery/classes/User.php on line 152
Can you help me, please?

By the way, if I want to have all my photos in one album, like yours, with a sub album for all the others how do I do it?
At the moment I have Melia CSM, now the Pesquero, later on I will add Playa Coco and then Brisas, but I would prefer them all to be in one main 'Bellagio photos' album.
Your thoughts please - watching American Idol the Final as I'm typing - please everyone keep silent on the result!!!

I've got albums in DR, Jamaica, Cuba and Bahamas.
In each album I've got nested albums (sub) for each resort.
The way the gallery is set up right now it's the only thing that makes any sense.
I'm working on a new version of the gallery, so if you've got any ideas or suggestions on ways to improve it, let me know.

My problem with the photos is I can't seem to ever add an album title. I have just put my Riu Negril photos on and 3 or 4 times I have tried to rename album but it still shows as album untitled. I have named the first picture Riu Negril just so people know what they are looking at. (I had the same problem when I put my Dominican photos on but I'm sure my fairy godmother (Heather) helped me out, because suddenly a name appeared - Thank you). As they say in Jamaica NO PROBLEM.

I had the same problem when I started using the gallery.
I think you have to edit the title rather than rename the album.
On the front page, before you click on the album go to the album actions drop down menu and click on edit title. Hopefully that works.

It took me a while to fugure it out.
Once you have opened your album you have to go into the 'album actions' at the top right hand corner and select 'properties' and then 'Album Title' and then rename it there.
It does not seem to work if you select the 'album actions' and then hit Rename Album, for some reason it will default back to Untitled after you have entered the title.
Hope you can follow this, maybe John will explain it better and hopefully he will look at it, because it is somewhat misleading.

Just in case the time may arise when I wish to alter the sequence of my photos in an album or the more likely scenario that I accidentally miss out a photo when compiling a new album and then wish to insert it a position earlier in the album is that possible for me to do?
With regard to the PP album, you were able to move my photo to the required position. When I tried I got that error message as described in my earlier thread.
Just wondered whether it is possible for a logged in member to move a photo in their own album or does it have to be performed by an administrator.
Over the next week or so I intend moving a number of my holiday photos over to this site, that's why I'm begging the question as I'm bound to get my knickers in a twist sooner or later.

You should have full control and access to your photos and albums. I don't know why you would have gotten that error message ...unless John was busy deleting something whilst you were trying. :D

Anyway it is all clear now. So having completed moving my Playa Pesquero and Playa Coco photos into my album, can you now change the link over in my Trip Reports on these two hotels from the photobucket.com link to 7 Days in Paradise. I assume that I cannot do that!!
Got to keep you on your toes you know, can't give you any spare time or else you'll be booking another selloff and be back in Cuba before you can say 'Millwoods'.

Any particular reason for the visit? Would it be a sightseeing type of visit or just family and friends?
I'm assuming with a name like Heather and the fact that you love Scotland, you must have some ties there. Were you actually born there I ask myself?
How little we all know about each other on the forum!!

I think I'm homesick and need to go back for a visit.
My dad and my brother are still in Scotland.
I lived in Scotland for 10 years from 1978 - 1988, I've only been back once since then and that was because my mom was dying.
I was born in Toronto, but my kids were both born in Scotland.

Heather, I think that is such a pretty name.
Where abouts in Scotland is your family? I lived there for 5 years and my mum is from Larkhall in Lanarkshire.
I love Scotland and take every chance I can to go back, it is such a beautiful place.
My mum only has one wish and that is to go home one day.

I was named after the Bonnie Purple Heather that grows wild on the hills in Scotland. :)
I think my mom's family came from the Larkhall area years ago. Her maiden name was Mackay.
My dad is from Lockerbie, but is now living in Alloa, which is where I lived too.

My family name is McGilvray, and alot of them work miners, I still have family there, all females called either Catherine (like my mum) (or versions of Kate, Cath) or Nancy (like me).
I have planted my whole garden in purple heather and had all of my bouquets and button holes made entirely of heather and blue moon roses (grandfather planted a blue moon rose the day I was born - and I have planted a least one in every house I have lived in).

My mom's side of the family were coal miners too.
My cousin married a McGilvary (Jimmie) I wonder if there's a connection ? They live in Sauchie.
Your flowers sound absolutely beautiful, and the blue moon rose, what a great idea to plant that when you were born. I wish I'd thought of doing something like that.

I will phone my mum tommorrow and ask her if she has any Uncles called Jimmy, there must be some as I know that my Uncle is named Jimmy after his uncle though I think that his surname was Lowden, its common in our family for you to have the surname of the person you were named after as your middle name as well as there first name as your name, mine Nancy-Marie McGilvray *******.

I'm really sorry to interrupt your trip down Memory Lane and PLEASE don't think I'm being rude, but I just wondered if you'd any news regarding the above 'quote'.
I just looked at my Trip Reports and see that they are still linked to photobucket.com, so I'm still wondering if they can be amended to link them to the respective photo albums stored at 7 days or not.

How spooky that this thread is now talking about Scotland. I've just spent this afternoon planning where we could stay if we go away in our caravan in August. Does anyone know the Garlieston, Killin and Shiel Bridge areas? That was my planned route. Thought we'd take a break from the sun and go touring. It'll take alot longer than going to Spain but just thought we'd try something different. I will of course be taking my rum with me so our accommodation (2 berth caravan) will be all inclusive :wi: :wi:

Firstly: I have just completed uploading my photos of the Starfish Trelawny Beach hotel in Jamaica and I wondered if you could link this gallery up to my review of this hotel, which never carried a link to my photos previously.
Secondly: Whilst I was messing about creating this album I have also created another 'Untitled' empty one which is 'hidden' but I'd appreciate it if you could delete it please.
Thirdly: Moving on to the Dom Rep now. I have photos to post from at least 4 hotels there, but I want to have one Master Album and then the rest sub-albums, as you have done for me in the Cuba section.
How do I do this? My attempt to do it in the Jamaica gallery, resulted in me creating another album (the one I want you to delete). Am I able to do this or do I just have to create an album for each hotel and then ask you to combine them all in one 'master' album as you did for me in the Cuba gallery.
Whew! I hope you can follow all that. I'll not start doing anything with regard to the Dom Rep until I here from you.

Sorry I can't spend much time online here tonight but we have had a lovely meal and been supping several glasses (or rather bottles) of Australian Red wine.
I see the Dom Rep album is all set up to go for when I have time, and once I altered the Jamaica album so that 'everyone' could see it that was fine too.
I submitted my Starfish Trelawny Beach review some weeks back so if you could now link my recently uploaded photos to this review I would be very grateful.
