 I was wondering if anyone could help me. I am IT challenged and know nothing about HTML, UBB codes, etc. and so please understand this when I ask my question. How do you put images on replies and is it possible to put a gremlin(not one stored on 7 Days) on a reply? Any help or basic explaination would be much appreciated. :wall: I have tried those strings of words and brackets but when I preview my post the image is not brought up.

Hi Milli
when you're typing your message, there's a series of buttons down below called Instant UBB Code, click on the Image button, it will pull up a small window where you can put the link to the image. The easiest way to get the link is to right click on the image that you want, click on properties, around the middle will be a line that says Address (URL), just copy and paste that address into the window and Voila! there's your picture.
-
Thanks--I can now put an image on a reply! As for the gremlins--when I right click on one of those images I don't get properties just copy smilie graphic or copy smilie HTML.

Milli
If you can give us a link to the page with the smilie you want, I can show you how to display it here.
-
as an afterthought, there are some sites that don't allow you to link to their pictures, like webshots.
-
You guys are being really patient ;) The smilies are from a downloadable program SmileyCentral.com
-
Hi Milli:
If you want to link an image to display on the forum, the image must be stored somewhere on the web.
If you downloaded a program and the smilies you wish to use are on your own computer, you cannot link them to a post.
Depending on the file format of the smilie, you can post it to Imagestation or Photobucket or other website (NOT webshots) and link from there.

Thanks Milli:
In case you or anyone else is, or was, wondering what you are referring to I deleted the post before your reply, because as soon as I had posted saying that I could not see mine and Steve YYZ's avatars, they immediately reappeared. I think it must be a problem with my son's ISP.
Everything seems to be fine now, but thanks for your speedy response.

Heck Milli - you've deleted your posting now - this is so funny!!!
My avatar has gone again I notice.
Where is Millybess? - I've gone totally blonde.
-
:rof: Hey Bellagio--I won't delete this one. Your Avatar is fine here.
-
Thanks so much Milli.
Had a real blonde moment back there. Obviously Millybess being away has affected me badly. :rof: :rof:

:ham: Hopefully, this will be me soon. You just have to pretend their hemlocks instead of palms.

Millybess:
Much as I will really miss you, I do hope that you are able to get away to the cottage early on Saturday morning.
I assume you don't have internet access up there, so you'll be completely out of touch with the real world of 7 Days!!!
-
Well bellagio, we certainly have perfected the knack of hijacking threads. :)
-
Moose FM?
should I ask?
:th:

Is that some thing like listening to My Annie SNORE..lol
:D

You guys have me :rof:
It's a radio station in cottage country. Others on the forum who live up that way would be able to tell you more, as we're just newbies.
We think they have all their songs on tape or something because by our second day up there we know what song is coming next.
When we have guests, the first thing they want to do is turn on Moose FM.
Sometimes the music skips over and over again and I have visions of someone running to their car and driving to the station to fix it.
We love this station. It's got great music and totally inaccurate weather forecasts.

HERE we thought it was everyone sitting around and listeneing to the Moose calls... :D

Guess I'll be the exception then, eh!!
Where's the barbie!!!
-
Millybess, the first thing I do when I head up north is turn on The Moose. My husband and son left this morning for Burks Falls and they were talking about it as they were packing up. I'll join them next week and will be tuning it in on my way up the 400.

I'll probably turn out to be quite a fan of this Moose Radio by the time I return.
So long as it's not Rock or Rap. Sweet and sentimental that's what I like.

I can see bellagio you are going to be very hard to please. I have never heard Sinatra on Moose FM, have you SharonAnn?
They seem to play a lot of Shania Twain though.

That don't impress me much, Come on Over 'cos From this moment on, Don't be stupid, You're still the one!!!
Shania is fine by me!!!
