Windows is out with there new operationg syustem called Vista.
So, have you tried it, and if so what do you think of it?
-
Ya know what... After being FORCED to work with Vista for few days, I can actually say I'm learning to deal with it.
I won't say I actually like it yet, but it's not near as bad as I thought.
:p

It strikes me that Vista will just be another major contributor to environmental damage.
All those 18 month plus old computers that will be scrapped whilst still perfectly serviceable just becos they aren't powerful enuf to run Vista - I've still got one PC on my network with an original Pentium running Windows 98 and its perfectly adequate for word processing, spreadsheets, surfing etc etc...
-
I haven't tried it yet, but I'm sure that once John is happy with it I'll have it on my computer. :D
I'm sure we could find a way to donate all the "old" computers to a country that needs them and can still use them.
I'm not sure what the logistics are for this, but it must be possible.
Anybody have any ideas?

I HATE COPUTERS... PERIOD

Trying to set up Lauren's old computer for Logan, but it's turning into a royal pain in the butt.
Somehow, the A: drive won't accept a systems disk, that was made on this computer, so I have no way of getting the basic ops on it, to even be able to install Windows!
Anyy Suggestions?

Trust me! The thought has crossed my mind!!!
-
Where there's a will, (or just bull headed attitude) there's a way...
I finally produced a systems disk on my laptop, that could be read in the older computer...

Heather, the Dubois Foundation would probably be very happy to take those computers off of peoples hands

I think that soon I will be forced to buy one of those new-fangled things called a Vic-21. Nothing wrong with my computer but people say I need a new one to keep up with the times.
I hear those new things don't even use cassette tapes for memory! WOW! What will they think of next?!
Bigjohn.
