Title: 43 sleeps!!!
Post by: sunluvr on August 17, 2005, 08:54:00 AM
It's starting to sink in now...I took my dress in for cleaning yesterday and the people there were making a big fuss over it which was rather sweet(believe me, it's nothing swanky!)  ;)

Talked to our friends last night who we'll meet up with in Jamaica, she advises that it's 36 sleeps for them, 43 for us.  The countdown has officially begun...

How exciting !
You're going all out for your 5th !
 Countdowns are GREAT !

I wanted to do something like that ... but NOOOOOOO ... instead we're mucking our way through the rainforest   :D
Besides, I don't think DH would really have wanted all that romantic stuff, maybe for our 10th or 25th   ;)

Thanks, amiga.  It is a bit unconventional to be renewing wedding vows so soon, but remember we had torrential downpours and we had all of our personal film ruined by the xray machines coming back home.  Picture yourself as a new bride, ecstatic about getting all of your wedding pictures back only to find there are none.  I admit that 5 years later it seems rather insignificant, but at the time I was absolutely heartbroken.  Hubby promised me we'd do it again in 5 years (at the time he figured he needed that much time to save up!) I told him this year, it really isn't necessary, but he insists on keeping his word...how can I argue with such a romantic gesture?  We won't be going all out, hubby is wearing a linen shirt and dress pants, I'm wearing my dress (which is very simple) and probably flowers in my hair (leaving the veil at home).  It's only costing us about $400 US for the whole show.

Rainforests...hmmmm...you got me thinking...photo opps up in Fern Gully, the Botanical Gardens ought to be pretty good, not to mention Dunn's River Falls and Sandals Golf course!  Geesh, I think the price for the photographer just doubled!!  LOL

Sure wish you were coming
