The resort did not have a map available yet, so we designed our own. (actually John did all the work :D )
This is a rough layout of the Spa section and the Hideaway section. The villa section map is still a work in progress.
Hopefully this will give you an idea of the layout. We were in building 41.

it's not exact, but it's close enough to get an idea, and find your way around.
Yes That woman, it was very close to the swim up bar, mind you it took us almost 1/2 a day to find that pool!! we found the spa pool first, and hung around there for a bit, having the entire pool and swimup bar to ourselves... :D

I think I've convinced a coworker and her husband to go here in November. Heather I was showing her your pics today and she thinks it looks awesome. I'll have to show her Johnny's map.
Man, I've got to start charging commissions LOL, didn't know my part-time, non-paying job was as a travel agent/consultant :rof:

omg, I do the same thing too at my work! I am the resident Cuba "expert".
People are always asking me which resort/area to go to.
It's easy, because I love talking about Cuba. Of course, it's much easier when you have a trip in the offing!
Some people, I can tell, would not like Cuba, or prefer places like DR and Mexico, and I don't try to persuade them otherwise..
Can't we keep it our little secret? *G*

We will check out the seafood restaurant for sure. I plan on having lots of seafood while I am away.
We went to the Outback Thursday night ,for our last hit of beef, since Cuba is not the best for that!
MB: and you can let me know the latest on PRDO....want to go back in the spring...I really miss it, and our friends there.

I just found out from someone who returned last night from Royal Hideaway Ensenachos, that the resort still does not have an official map.
When people ask for a map of the resort, the reception are logging in to 7 Days and printing off a copy of our map. ;) ).

Just returned from RHE on March 30/31, 2007 and found the map very helpful but it could be misleading if you base your bungalow selection on solely using this map.
The following are my observations, during my morning walks, which could be implemented to better represent the actual layout of this resort:
1. The Spa Section is actually further from the beach than shown on the map.
2. Bungalows 39 and 40 are the closes to the beach, but their access to the beach is the boardwalk between Bungalows 41 and 42. The direct path from these bungalows to the beach shown on the map is a non inviting path through the overgrown and thick bushes and shrubs, and past any unknown creatures that may await you. The beach in front of these bungalows consists of volcanic rock and the actual white sand beaches start at the boardwalk or in front of the water activity center.
3. The path shown on the map between Bungalows 38 and 39 is the main paved walkway to the Water Activity Center and La Punta del Pirta (Seafood Restaurant) used by the golf cart taxis or anybody walking to these locations. At the intersection on this walkway with the back entrance to Bungalows 39 and 40 and the road to the Royal Suites, you will observe a miniature version of a roundabout.

We're thinking about going there in Nov/Dec and I saw on Happy Faces that admin is going to put an accurate map together.

thanks for taking the time to sus out the lay of the land. We can use your info to update our map.
We made the map strictly from memory, and we realize that it is not 100% accurate, and we put a warning on our website so that people would know.
The resort does not have a map available and we thought this would help in the interim.
It would appear that the Royal Hideaway Ensenachos is printing off our map and distributing to their guests. :D

We had a great time at this resort. My trip report would be identical to most of the other reports posted on this and other forums except for the negative ones. My trip report is under macleady in HappyfaceCuba forum.
We can always hope that Google Earth will update their satellite image of this area of the world in the near future, so we can get an accurated and scaled layout of this resort.
