Title: Tips
Post by: JohnnyCastaway on August 22, 2007, 09:11:22 PM
a great tip that I had to borrow from another site:

Quote
It takes 5 seconds at the beginning of each dive; it's easy to do; it ensures the dive will be hassle free; it could save a dive or even your life; it's good practice of an essential diving skill; it helps protect the marine environment. What is it?!! Each time you get into the water and reach a depth to great to stand up in, do a buoyancy check. Simply dump all of the air from your BC and see what happens. If you float too high or sink too fast, change your weights. Get in the habit of doing this and I guarantee one day you'll be thankful. BTW, this tip is specifically aimed at experienced divers. If you think you don't need to make a regular buoyancy check because you know what you're doing, you are exactly the diver who should make the check!

How true, how very true....
