Title: Room Upgrades at Playa Pesquero???
Post by: TheTraveller on April 22, 2008, 09:35:39 AM
Hi:

Have any of you frequent Playa Pesquero guests ever received a free Room Upgrade? If so, did you ask for it or did the hotel just do it?

We are planning to go down for our fourth visit this coming December and wonder if we should ask about an Upgrade (it will also our 10th Wedding Anniversary).

Our second and third trips we received the following for being repeat guests:

- bottle of Rum or Liqueur in our room
- Invite to the Returning Guests dinner at the Grill Restaurant
- Late Checkout
- No Line up A-la-Carte bookings

Thanks  [beer]

:sunny: We have only been to PP the one time and that was last Fall.  The resort was full, esp due to a large group of over 500 being accomodated for 4 days.  We had booked a Standard Room.  It was not until near the end of our trip that we realized that we were in the upgraded room.  Around the 5th day of our visit we also found a free bottle of rum awaiting us when we returned to our room one day.  So in our case, no, we didn't request the upgrade.

We were there for the first time this February.  We got an invitation to the Gala Dinner - not really any different than an a-la-carte dinner.  As for the bottle of rum in the room, it sells for $3.00 at the store so it's not really a big deal.  The room was quite satifactory for us and I didn't have to line up when I booked our a-la-cartes.  So I guess I didn't ask for an upgrade but I had all perks it comes with.
