Day 6 Bayamo

Friday morning we moved on to Bayamo in Granma Province.

I was along bus ride to Bayamo from Camaguey.

After checking into our Hotel, The Sierra Maestra, we were off to a seniors home Hogar de Ancianos “Lidia Doce”.

Then on to 2 Orphanages (Hogar de niños sin amparo filial ) the first for Children over 6 years of age.  A mixture of boys and girls here all very friendly to us.:

And the second for those 6 and under, this orphanage had a great group of young boys… interestingly there were no girls here:

After returning to the hotel we found that we had a busload of students from Scotland who were on a History tour of Cuba.

This was a fairly nice hotel but after a torrential downpour one couple of our group found that their room was flooded and after a lot of complaining and being told there were no rooms available, they eventually got moved to a suite.
