Title: Has Anyone been to Samana?

We are considering Samana as our next Caribbean destination,staying at the Bahia Principe Cayacoa and was wondering if anyone knows anything about Samana or this hotel?

LOL  I was looking at that resort last night!!  If it is half as nice and half as well run as the Bahia Ambar in PC then it will be nice!  ~ Milli

we haven't been there, we've looked at it, but at the time we looked the airport was off season, so there was about a 2 to 2.5 hour bus ride to the resort.  Looks like an interesting area, and if you time it right, you can catch the passage of the whales.

 We are hoping to catch the end of the Whale season, any other info would be great!!
