Hi Everyone:
I would like to know if anyone has been to Cuba to take advantage of their medical expertise and their opinion on health care in Cuba?
I would be interested in finding out if the hospitals/clinics in Cuba have been known to eradicate stomach bacterial infections and also assist in eye diseases.
I understand that ozone treatment is practiced in Cuba and if anyone knows anyone who has experienced this therapy successfully.
I read on tripadvisor that someone was happy with a surgery performed at Cira Garcia. Are there any other hospitals with a good reputation and outcomes in Cuba? I am not interested in surgery, just alternative therapies such as ozone, etc. if they have them available. I have written to Cira Carcia and am awaiting their response.
My thoughts are to find out as much about these facilities and their success rates and then plan to visit Cuba. I have been to resorts in Holguin, Cayo Coco and other areas in the past.
However, if I choose a clinic/hospitals I would like to stay in a casa if possible. How much would that expense be? Steve has kindly provided a link to the Cia Garcia clinic. However, I would not like to stay in the hospital as I will be on a budget. I have very simple taste as far as food is concerned and I do not drink any alcohol at all.
If anyone can assist me with information on other hospitals, their email addresses if possible and also suggestions on casas? etc. I would very much appreciate it. I would be on my own so the accommodation will be on single basis. I would also have to think about how to get there, which airline etc. but first I have to find out if the medical establishment there can assist me.
Thank you very much for any thoughts on the above.
