Title: Canon GX 1
Post by: Pacific State 808 on January 11, 2012, 09:23:30 AM
This is really interesting and is an encouraging sign that decent quality underwater photography equipment is slowly coming down in cost. Canons new release of the GX 1 will be accompanied by an underwater housing (WP DC44) and is really tempting for an upgrade. If my wet lenses fit or can be adapted to fit the GX 1 housing, then I will definately go for it.

Normally it's the housing that cost silly amounts of cash and that puts me off investing in high end photographic equipment, but I think Canon will be onto something here that may provide a decent mid end camera and housing for under a $1000.....unheard of just a couple of years ago that's for sure.
