Do it yourself spa vacation
« on: May 01, 2005, 08:05:00 AM »
I'm just taking a break from packing and thought i'd share my ideas for all you ladies.

I am packing a "do it yourself spa kit" for my upcoming trip.  I did this on my last trip and it was fantastic.  I bought single use sized packets of face scrub, foot scrub, mud mask and deep hair conditioner at the drug store ($1-2 each).  About half way thru my trip when the sun and chlorine and salt have done a job on my hair and skin and i'm feeling grungy i take a "spa day".  Usually in the late afternoon when things are slow.  A long hot shower, wrap myself in a towel, apply all the different gunks, and then lounge for an hour on the balcony while sipping a tropical drink with the music cranked up.  Heavenly!  Who needs to pay a fortune to travel to a "spa resort" when you can do it yourself.

thanks Tuss,

 I do the same thing.

One trip we sat on the beach at the edge of the water and let the waves gently wash over us.  It's a great way to exfoliate, and cheap too.     :)
Twenty years from now you will be more disappointed by the things you didn't do than by the ones you did do. So throw off the bowlines. Sail away from the safe harbor. Catch the trade winds in your sails. Explore. Dream. Discover.
