That is interesting to say the least, why did the guy not complain before he was aproached st the beach...if someone did that to my wife I would do something right away...I know we don't know the whole story..  ;)

Here is a cut and paste job from another Cuba board:

 This story is Bullshit !
I have a first hand account of the details:

The Canadian couple fabricated this story only after the woman refused to pay for the spa services.
After the massage, the woman got dressed and attempted to leave the spa.  When she was advised that the massage was not part of the "all inclusive" program she claimed that it was a poor massage and walked away.  After a few hours, the hotel management and masseur approched the couple and tried to work out a solution.  It was at that time, when the woman changed her story and accused the masseur of groping her.
That's when the husband lost it and attacked the masseur.  The hotel management and local police have sided with the masseur, and they will detain the Canadian until the investigation is completed.

 In Cuban time of course...........

Very Interesting! The version I had read on another forum was that the masseur was accused of doing the same thing to another woman a few days prior. Also they did go to managment and complain! Really though does anyone really think a mother is going to put her 5 & 8 year old children threw the terror of seeing their father be arrested and not come home, because she just didn't want to pay $20 dollars, probably not???? Obviously she must have felt it was a very justified decision. The family is also said to be a very respected family in their town and quite involved in the sports community. I by no means am agreeing with the way the husband reacted, but do any of us know how we would respond if put in that predicament?

I just read on another forum -when the lady was charged the $20.she thought it was part of the all inclusive,so she just walked out.The masseur went to the management & the two them approached the couple on the beach. This is where the lady said he had touched her etc-thats when the scuffle broke out. So there are so many different stories and of course the only one we get to hear is hers-right?? In the meantime he waits in Cuba until it is settled.A good lesson when travelling to a foreign country.

I can't beleive how different the versions of "what happenned" are????? I am still sticking to my thoughts which are- I really can't see anyone just deciding they don't want to pay 20 bucks, so they would sub-ject their children to all of this. You would have to be out of your mind.   :duh:  I still think he (the masseur) must have done something very inappropriate for the couple to react in the manner they did. A little more involved than trying to save $20.00!
