Photos taken around Santiago de Cuba
« on: November 11, 2006, 11:47:00 AM »
I've managed to upload three sets of photos taken during my last trip.

The first ones were taken in the Valle De la Prehistoria at Baconoa Parque, just outside Santiago de Cuba.

    Baconoa Parque

The second ones were taken on and around Smith Key.  Now I don't think this is the correct name for the island in Santiago Bay, certainly those that live there don't call it that I'm sure.

    Smith Key

The third set feature the 26 July Parque de Diversiones.  I just had to visit a 'theme' park!!!

I only had 35 centavos in change and that bought loads of tickets.  Altogether we had 10 rides and had tickets to spare which we gave away.

Bellagio:

You seem to have just accomplished what I can only dream of doing, experience the real Cuban countryside.

Unfortunately, my wife and daughter are simply not into "off-resort" living.

The pictures you posted of "Smith Key" are wonderful and make me feel like just grabbing a cheap ticket and going. Thanks!!

Bellagio, thank you for taking the time to post those excellent photos.I enjoyed all 3 sets equally. It looks like you were so busy on the trip, you will have to go back to Cuba for a rest.  Dan F

:)  Some more great pictures Bellagio.  Like others have mentioned, these are sights in Cuba that I will probably only ever see through your eyes ( or lens   ;)  )  Thanks for posting them so quickly.
