Guests?
« on: November 30, 2005, 06:52:00 PM »
I've noticed a number of 'guests' viewing and just wondered how that happens. Any time I've accessed the site I have to log in.

Your login is based on an IP address.  If that changes it shows an extra log in but it shows as a guest.

Also if someone is logged in but has chosen to be "invisible" they will show as a "guest".

Access to the board is restricted to log in only.

Thanks flopnfly, just a further question from looking at the copyright statement below. Do individual posters retain ownership of their postings or does ownership of writings belong to the 'board'?

Members are free to edit and delete their own posts so I suppose to that extent you have ownership.  The only time you wouldn't have access to one of your posts is if the topic has been locked.  In this instance you would need to contact us so that we could reopen it for your edit.  No problem.

If you're talking about posting "stories, poems, song lyrics etc"  you would retain ownership to those exclusively if you claim them as yours.

This is the internet and "ownership" laws are never clear.
