Weather Watchers
« on: May 05, 2005, 05:50:00 PM »
Ya gotta love cubaweather.org .
The flowery descriptions used for different weather patterns could be 'oscillation in the temperature' or 'thundery showers'. My favourite is 'unrest of the sea'.
I'm not making fun of their phrases, just wishing that local prognosticators would be as inventive when describing conditions at home.
Check it out. They have 5 day forecasts and 3 different satellite maps.
What other listings do YOU use for weather reports?
 Bigjohn.
I'm confused, no wait... maybe I'm not...

Here's the website that I use all the time for Cuban weather info. It's all in Spanish, but it's not that hard to navigate around and figure out what it means.

It's basically the Cuban equivalent to our Canadian Environment Canada.

I use www.accuweather.com and www.wunderground.com
I especially like the link to historical weather data at the second website.
