Finally got to try out my new mask today, and I must say I'm Impressed!
The manufacturer's instructions, say to try out the mask in a confined place, before trying it on a dive, to get used to balancing the air spaces... so into Logan's pool I went.
The mask really did make a difference. The ear cups worked well keeping the water out, and after a few seconds, I was able to equalize either earcup, just by turning my head, and blowing out thru the nose. With slight pressure on the top edges of the mask, it's easy to clear any water that gets in.
One thing I noticed, that wasn't in the manufacturer's notes, is the improved sence of "balance" you have in the water. The lower density of having air in the ear canals, instead of water, makes it easier to feel the motion as you move.
Hopefull, I'll get to take it for a real dive this weekend.
