The transatlantic market remains a battleground, Transat chief executive officer Jean-Marc Eustache said during a conference call yesterday."Maybe new players will come," he said, after the Montreal-based tour operator announced that it posted a $61.8-million profit for the year ended Oct. 31, compared with a $49.4-million loss for the 2008 fiscal year. Transat shares jumped 13.7 per cent on the better-than-expected results.
