I had a couple lobsters wednesday night at our annual year end dinner.

The best was to eat them is with your hands.  You also need a bib and a big napkin (maybe a few)!!!  Most restaurants will crack them for you.  I prefer the tail.  Dipped in melted butter of course.

I tried the lobster in Cuba and was terribly disappointed - tough and not at all tasty!  East coast lobster is the best.  The small ones are tastier!

Bellagio, if you ever get to Nova Scotia and it is lobster season, I will personally tutor you on how to eat an Atlantic lobster.  :D   Lobster season around Halifax runs from the 1st of November to the end of May with a few weeks off in March (water is so cold the catch is down and most guys around here pull the traps for 3 or 4 weeks).

Thanks for that.  I actually would like to eat lobster with someone who actually knows one end of a lobster from another, so I would be pleased to accept your invitation if I manage to get to the Maritimes!!

Apart from reading the web page which Gambitt provided on 'How to eat lobster' I really do not have a clue.

I do need educating in some of the finer things in life I can see that!!
