As some of you know, we booked a package to Cancun in order to attend a wedding Dec 6th ..our British friends had planned a wedding (last year) for their daughter at one of the resorts.Alas, Wilma had other plans for Cancun.
We had to commit prior to the hurricane which devasted the area..received a call from our travel agent this weekend telling us a total refund is available from Signature unless we plan to book another package with them.
Our British friends meanwhile..are on hold until this coming week to find out what their fate is (after investing 17,000 pounds for wedding and travel).
Hard to believe the process of travel refunds is so different under the same circumstances in various countries.
Keeping my fingers crossed for them...
There may be a wedding in England after all this gets settled.
Any advice re: travel to England in January?
