Royal Suites
« on: February 12, 2008, 08:34:10 AM »
Can anyone tell me how close the Royal Suites Villas are to the beach and how good of a view you have from the Villas.  Also how good is the food at the gourmet restaurant in the Royal Suite section and is it worth the extra money to stay in that section.  I want to take my wife to either Excellence in the Mayan or the Hideaway in Cuba, what are your thoughts.

Hi RP, and welcome to Paradise.   :hiwave:

Royal Hideaway Ensenachos is a beautiful resort and I'm sure that you would love it.

There isn't really an ocean view from any of the rooms or villas on the resort because of the vegetation.

When they built the resort they were very conscious about the environment and did their best not to destroy any of the natural vegetation.  If they had to remove any trees, they moved them rather than chop them down.

All of the rooms are set back from the beach, but it's a very short walk and you won't even notice it.

Staying in the Suites/Villa section you have access to the full resort and all the amenities.  My favorite was the Japanese restaurant.  I didn't eat at the Gourmet restaurant so I can't comment on that.

You also have your own personal butler who will prepare all of your meals in your villa if you choose.  They will even set up a table on the beach and serve you there.

I think the extra price is worth it but that's just my opinion.  It all depends on what you want.  If you think you will spend most of your time in the main section pools and restaurants, bars etc then you could save some money and stay in the main section.

If you want some privacy and personal butler service and all that comes with it, then you should book the suites/villa section.

Good luck with your decision and please let us know what you decide.

Twenty years from now you will be more disappointed by the things you didn't do than by the ones you did do. So throw off the bowlines. Sail away from the safe harbor. Catch the trade winds in your sails. Explore. Dream. Discover.
