Anyone been to this hotel in the last year and if so, opinion(s)?  Gracias in advance.
We hope to do more rivercruising - relax and see the sights.

Hi,

We were there in January 09 and I wouldn't recommend it to anyone unless you are just looking for a base for touring.

If you got a really really cheap deal, and you were planning on not spending much time on the resort then it would be ok.

Otherwise there are way too many better places in Varadero to spend your money.
Twenty years from now you will be more disappointed by the things you didn't do than by the ones you did do. So throw off the bowlines. Sail away from the safe harbor. Catch the trade winds in your sails. Explore. Dream. Discover.

I'd have to agree with Bob & Heather...  The hotel itself is nice, as long as you don't plan to EAT there!!

A young lady we met there, had us all laughing when she described the eating area as the "BARF-FET"

I was there with the rest of them, the food at the restaraunts was horrible, pretty much survived on the half decent "snack bar" food.  But yea the company was awesome, nothing like spending hours on the patio drinkin with good people

For sure, just got back from La Paz mexico actually, went on a semi-overpriced dive trip through the dive shop the fiancee works at.  I'm up to 48 dives since I started counting in april
