I'm going somewhere June 2 or 3 or 4 or 5.
  One week, single. Well I'm not single, but since my wife is taking a vacation for the MONTH of July, she wants me to go away for a week so I'll shut up about her trip.
  I don't want to go to Veradero or the Cayos as there is no chance to get off the resorts easily. I don't want to be stuck on a resort if the other guests are Klingons.
 My requirements are:
 1/ food.
 2/ booze.
 Anything else is a bonus.
 Perhaps I'll see some of you there.

 You should take the Havana/Casa Particular plunge! I'm sure Steve would be very happy to guide you in all things Havana!
 This would be an excellent time to try it  :)

 Pitt seems hung up on Angelina Jolie, who I probably wouldn't stand a chance against, but then that would be Pitt's loss!   ;)  
 I prefer the slightly older and more experienced Clooney, besides he's still single, so there's a chance. LOL

I am so terribly jealous. We are home until August when we will go to New York, Washington D.C. and Raleigh N.C. Fun but not Cuba!! We are off to some hotspot over Christmas with D.H.'s family but as Sis in law and family live and work in the US, Cuba is out of the question.   :(
 Ideas anyone!!!

The Havana/Casa route is not an option for me this year. My knee is not reliable enough to plan a walking tour as would be required for a city trip. I'm taking a bicycle with me and I might get some funny looks if I took my crutches too.
 My translator is not coming with me this time, so a resort and day trips are all that's possible. Nice idea for next time though.
