Hotels in Varadero
« on: April 30, 2005, 11:19:00 AM »
Hi all. I need to pick the brains of you very smart people. As some of you may know, I have complained that I can't get my husband to go anywhere. Well, I may be making headway and I need some help. We stayed at the Tuxpan in Varadero and loved it, however, it would not be suitable for hubby. Without going into details, we require a resort that has a bathroom on the beach and very close to the pool area. The Tuxpan does not have this so it is out of the question. We would prefer a 4 star but will accept a good 31/2. I like to have a bar and restaurant on the beach and preferably a 24 food and beverage. I also like international brand drinks and wine available all day, not just at dinner. I know I sound picky but I am a childish traveler that doesn't like to have to move much or far to eat and drink and I like variety in my booze. Hubby has a medical condition so I need to go somewhere that if all else fails there will be plenty of bread, meats and soups. Can anyone help I need to have my researched selections available when I start the sales pitch because he will be a hard sell.

Hi

Have you considered Sandals Royal Hicacos?

Coldgirl,

I know one resort in Varadero that doesn't have washrooms on the beach.

 Brisa Del Caribe

you can scratch that one off your list, we'll find you one by process of elimination if necessary.     :D

HI again.  ZOmbie, I am afraid that the Sandals would be both out of our price range and out of our element!!  I looked at the Jibocoa but with the 70 minute bus ride, it would have to be ruled out.  It has to be Varadero so we can have a direct flight and as little travel time as possible.  Otherwise, I would gladly return to the Iberostar Daiquiri in Cayo Coco.
