I keep bumping a similar thread in The Chat Room in the hope that she will surface soon.

Hi guys!  A special big hug to you Ken.  You must have been on your best behaviour at MCSM, as I heard only great things about you.  Now I can hardly wait to hear your side of the story.

I'm afraid on this trip to Cuba, we had a bit of a scare.  Upon entering the country, passport control wanted to know why we left our 15 year old son there when we visited in March.  They were quite serious about it all and I feared we wouldn't be allowed into the country.  Needless to say, our son did leave the country with us in March, however they were difficult to convince.  They wanted to know where he was at that moment and I said he was at home, but, in fact, he was in the States and I was quite scared to tell them that.  They eventually let us in, but sometimes I had the feeling we were being watched while we were there (definitely a possible case of paranoia).  Anyway our flight arrived at 9:00 pm on the 13th and we didn't reach our hotel until midnight -- a 15 min. ride away.

Anyway, in spite of that, we did have a great time.  MCC is nice, however PRDO and PP are better IMO.  But the beach  --  WOW!  We loved it much more than the beaches around Holguin and would return to the MCC just for that.  I will provide more details once I get my thoughts together.

Millybess:

Thank goodness you're back.   I've no finger nails left I've been chewing at them all day wondering where you were.

Sounds like a horrendous experience at immigration.   You'll tell us the full story later no doubt.  I dread going through those places you feel as though you are being humiliated.    I've even had a bad experience entering Canada by road from the States, so it's not just Cuba.

Anyway I'm glad you are back safe and sound and no doubt drinking a Timmies!!!!  I'm off now for a while to watch the voting for the Eurovision Song Contest.

The UK entry was rubbish - Malta or Greece should win.

Welcome back Millybess,

Sorry to hear about your scare. It must have been awful for you.

We had the overweight scam thing happen to us today at Holguin airport.  We didn't pay!!
Twenty years from now you will be more disappointed by the things you didn't do than by the ones you did do. So throw off the bowlines. Sail away from the safe harbor. Catch the trade winds in your sails. Explore. Dream. Discover.
