We've looked at it, it used to be the Bahia I believe. You might be able to find reviews under that name.

The woman who sat next to us on the plane back from Varadero had just come from a one week stay with her teen aged daughter and they loved it! They were returning the next Month! A couple of weeks ago I noticed Playa Varadero 1920 really cheap on Selloffvacations, Bookitforless, etc. I believe it was around 1420/per person for 2 weeks and out of Halifax. That is really cheap--less than Hotel Internacionel, Villa Cuba, etc. So I immediately started looking up the trip reports and was disappointed to find the latest ones not that great. The pictures look very nice and Varadero Beach could make up for any deficiencies I am sure :)
