I'm not arriving home from Alberta until October 16th, so I'd need a week to prepare myself before jetting off to Cuba.

I can see this being very difficult for me to fit in with your plans, as by the time all you people book last minute there will be no availability whatsoever from the UK.  I may well have to look at flying to Toronto first.

If prices do drop over here, and that doesn't seem very likely at the moment, I will go ahead and book as I need to get my Cuba fix.

At this moment we are still looking at the Nov. 12/13 departure from TO. But have some flexibility, so just waiting to see what happens with you as far as dates and hotels! It is still 3 months away and the sell-offs are showing up through Oct. at very tantalizing prices!! There has'nt been any movement in price for Nov. yet, but there will be soon enough  ! Patience is a virtue!!! We just hope for as many people as possible to get together in Holguin wheather it be "October ain't so sober" or "a November to Remember". We need our Cuba fix also, this will be #10! The only Oct. dates remotely possible for us are the 22/29! Not to worry!!!

Mr. B, you should really move to Canada amigo.

2 weeks at the PP Oct 23 to Nov. 6 (no single supplement) = 1583.00 CAD taxes in approx 730 GBP

Oh and lesab, just to rub salt in the wound: your Luna y Mares is showing up Oct 14 & 21 at 623+ an Oct 16 & 22 @ 637+

Air Canada has jumped in the loop for PCV and GPT saturday departures at 706 +, but the flights are truly abysmal. No way would I pay more money to sit around Trudeau airport waiting for a connection from Toronto and the returns are horrific!!!

Rayde8me - I am glad to hear someone else uses my strategy.  It didn't work last year but I did not have total control over my vacation. Let "that room mate from hell" talk me into booking too soon.

"I" was also a threat for me ... my mother's daughter is also Irene.  (no way is she a sibling of mine)  There is too much tempation in these prices.  Once "L" is gone ...or should I say if "L" is gone, it will be difficutl.

Wendy- Rub it some more.... even the flight times are not bad. I do not like the Sunday flight in November.  It stops over in cayo coco and there is now way I am travelling all those hours. That's one of the luxuries of living in toronto. 3 hour flights to cuba not 6 .

They are not posting the Saturday flights on many as I assume there are trying to see how booked up things get to do the same.

Ocotober is looking good.... even club amigo with signature is NOT charging a single supplement.

 Temptation....

Please don't change your minds for November ... pretty  much confirmed we're doing Costa Rica from October 7 - 16th ... I couldn't possibly get away again at least for a month thats why the November 12th-ish date could work for me ...

Just book it! Then we will all be guilty and have to go when you go.  That will put an end to the October - sober stuff...

I just checked the prices.  November hasn't changed but look at the October prices from Toronto.

 Club Amigo one week Oct 14  $486.95 + $175  = 661.95

 PCV one week Oct 14  $656.95 + $175 = $831.95
 -------------------------
This one for Mr B: or any other singles:

 Playa Pesquero 2 weeks  Oct 14th from TO  single  $1389.95 + $175  =$1564.00

 PCV 2 weeks Oct 14th from TO single  $1249.95 + $175 = $1424.00

Twenty years from now you will be more disappointed by the things you didn't do than by the ones you did do. So throw off the bowlines. Sail away from the safe harbor. Catch the trade winds in your sails. Explore. Dream. Discover.

Heather, I don't think Ken flies back to the UK from Deb's until after that.

Just arrived back home, complete with raging toothache!!!

Checked prices on Eclipse and I see that November 4th PCV for two weeks from Manchester has DROPPED to £816.

That is the lowest I have EVER seen it.   If two people were going it would be just £690 each and that is why I feel I should book it now.   Whatever the Canadian price may drop to I would still have to add on a minimum of £300 for the return air fare UK to Toronto and that would mean the hotel would have to be $1100 for two weeks and that, I think, is unlikely.

This could well be a Bank Holiday Weekend Special Offer so I really think I should book this.   If all the Canadians fly out on the Sat 12th or Sunday 13th at least I'll be there for around 5 days with everyone.

Sounds like a plan, we will probably fly in on one  of the Sunday flights! Don't know at which hotel we will end up at but we will be able to spend some time together as a group!!
