Where are the bargains ?
« on: March 01, 2006, 11:13:00 AM »
Just been doing some checking on prices from Toronto for two weeks at the PCV on March 24th, single occupancy.

 Your Travel Tickets...$2281.55
 SellOff Vacations......$2237.05

Both of these are including taxes.  That's over £1150 at the present rate of exchange - over £150 more expensive than I paid, and I paid more than I've ever done.

Prices for 22nd April with SellOff are $1998.05 (single, taxes included).

There just does not seem to be the bargains around any more.

Hi Bellagio!

You're right, I've been pining for a die hard deal for awhile now...what I have found is that there are still some good last minute deals, but seriously...LAST MINUTE.  Nothing a month or a couple of weeks prior, we're talking DAYS prior...you literally have to be packed and ready to go at the drop of a hat, which is not always feasible and so many people are inclined to book when the prices are still higher, both out of impatience (understandably) and concern that the deals won't come at all or if they do, they sell too fast.

Those tour operators are onto our plan! LOL

I'm betting there will be some good deals out of Mexico in the coming months...I can see it now, but personally, I won't bite.

I am so thrilled at my bargain price!

I still cannot believe it compared to the prices these days!

It was so good, that I phoned Henry who was out at the time, and I explained how good it was, and that My mom and I were really wanting to go, and he just said, nothing I can say, if you are wanting to go you will go, nothing I can do to stop you! So I booked it, but I haven't even told him yet! LOL  I figured if he didn't want to talk about it then, he probably doesn't want to talk about it now!

Congrats Debmich on booking!
I will report back to you on all the wonderful things when I return, just prior to your departure.

:OMG:
Debbie are you waiting for me to arrive before you tell him????

My tickets arrived this morning, no tourist visa though, but when I booked with Eclipse in December it arrived about ten days before I flew.

Just hope it arrives whilst I'm in Canada.
