My apologies for the redundancy of this topic, I know this question has been posed many times, but I honestly never paid any mind to the whole cigar scene b-4 now. A guy my hubby knows wants me to bring him a box back and he's going to pay me up front (so he should, I don't even know the dude!) lol

I think the No. 4's are what he said he'd like and he wants cohibas. Can anyone give me a ballpark for what I'm looking at in price?

And anyway, what the heck is it with ppl asking others to bring stuff back for them??

I brought some cohibas back for a mate, don't smoke them myself can't remember the No they was 25 cuc for a pack of 5 this was the starting price for cohibas at the cigar factory

I think a box is somewhere around the $70 mark, but I could be totally blonde about that. :rof:

I checked and it seems that Cohiba Siglo IV (I think that's what you are looking for) are not cheap, they go for 250 CUCs per box of 25 if I'm not mistaken.

Give a copy of this list to your friend and see if he's still interested.

Some people seem to think that cigars are dirt cheap in Cuba. They are much less expensive than here but still, some brands are quite dear.

Okay...now I'm MAAAAAAAAAAD

So I take the list to the guy, ask him what he wants, and he flips his lid at the price, telling me a friend brought him back a box of cohibas (25)but the guy only paid $20

I saw the cigars, they are the small ones which are the length and diameter of cigarrettes. I'm no cigar expert, but the box didn't look like what I recall seeing in the factory. I told him I can only get him a small pack of cigars for $20. He didn't even have any money to give to me at the time, so adios amigo...I'm outta here....better things to do than shop for cheap cigars for a broke stranger. GRRRRR

What is it with people asking you to bring stuff back for them? In the past week, I've had 1/2 a dozen people ask me to bring back various items, 4 of which were rum or liqoeurs. Hello...there is a limit to what you can bring back, on the off-chance I opt to bring something back for myself (heaven forbid) I'm already at my limit.

People are far too inconsiderate :mad:

Go to a cafeteria type shop in a Cuban area with CUP's and purchase real Cuban cigars (that the Cubans smoke) for 1 CUC for 25 cigars (or about 5cents Cdn. each) and give all of these people a good deal of ...say $40 or $50 Cdn for 25... :D :D :D

Your hubby's friend got a package of Cohiba ciggarillos ... They look like cigarettes nad sell for around $2.50 CUC for a package of 25 ..

By the way it sounds like his friend ripped him off ..
