Playa Costa Verde photos
« on: April 11, 2006, 08:57:00 PM »
I've managed to upload most of my photos onto the 7Days server so if you wish to view them please click on the link below.

I've not titled them but as all these photos are taken ON the resort they probably are self explanatory.

The photos at the end are of the various evening shows put on by the dancers.

Fantastic photos bellagio.

I think this is the first time I've seen a picture of a room at PCV. It's HUGE!

Were the beds as awfully hard as at BCV?

Nice bathroom too, although it's difficult to gauge the size.  Was it large?

Really nice balcony.  Corner room, eh?

Did the tennis courts have those little drainage holes in them like at BCV where the balls would go in and be irretrievable?  The courts look like they're in better shape.

The fitness room looks very well-equipped -- better equipped than any other resort we've been too, IMO.

What was the evening entertainment like?  Did you enjoy it?  From the photos, it looks quite good.

You certainly have an eye for detail in your photos Ken.  You seem to take photos of all the things future guests might be interested in, IMO.

 Thanks a lot.

Fantastic photos once again.

The flowers are beautiful and the it looks like they do a great job of keeping the grounds looking nice.

The entertainment looks much better than anything I saw at Pesquero.  Their entertainment was pathetic at best.

 thanks for sharing
Twenty years from now you will be more disappointed by the things you didn't do than by the ones you did do. So throw off the bowlines. Sail away from the safe harbor. Catch the trade winds in your sails. Explore. Dream. Discover.

I know I'm slightly biased towards the PCV but in all honesty I do prefer it to the PP.

Having stayed at all three resorts they all have their good points and all have areas where there is room for improvement.

For me to return to the Blau it would have to be considerably cheaper than the other two (not being a 24 hour resort was a large downside factor for me).

The PP would also have to be cheaper than the PCV to entice me to return there, mainly because of its size.

Now Debmich has returned I would be interested in hearing her opinion.

In reply to Millybess - the rooms were not as large as those at the PP - but it was great having a corner room, which I had requested.  I have asked for the same room on my return but any corner second floor room will do I suppose.

The tennis courts and equipment are in superb condition - unlike the Blau.   The tennis pro there, Demarris (spl?) loves her job and takes care of the equipment (unlike the Blau and the PP).  Two of the courts have been resurfaced.

Unfortunately due to my back problems I only managed 1 game with a guest and one short session with Demarris.   If I am ok on my return I'll knock up with her more often.  Even in the short time we spent on court she made several improvements to my game.   I can only speak most highly of her.   There were none of those holes at the side of the courts either.

The beds were not that comfortable - not really hard though and I am wondering if that did not help my back problem which is easing now I am back at home in my own bed.

As you know the evening shows are not my scene so I was in and out of the disco getting drinks whilst they were on.

I'm certain that you and Messybill would love the PCV.   I rate it well above the Blau.

Thanks bellagio.  We went in there on our way to the airport from the BCV in January.  It did look very nice.

We might think about that one between Christmas and New Years next year -- unless we fall in love with Varadero.  :)
