I would count myself as one of your determined "Avid April Cuba Travellers". My reasons:
1)All that everyone else has already stated and...
2)It's April...very few children (sorry folks, but I like to vacation with adults, the kids are nice to watch from a distance...)   ;)
3)When I leave COTU it's still a bit "wintery" and when I get back, it's definitely in full "spring"!
4)I've been there at all other times of the year at one point or another and April has yet to disappoint me for weather, ocean temp or price!
5)It's also spring in Cuba and so the flowers are blooming, etc...lots of greenery! (unlike January when everything is dead)
6)If I stay long enough, or book my flights just right, I also get to stay for El Primero de Mayo!

I hope I haven't convinced you too well...the beach will start getting crowded!   :rof:

We've only ever been to Cuba in January.  The weather can be cool in the evenings but the ocean and pool tempuratures are certainly comparable to our Ontario lakes and pools in the summer time.

The greenery has always been beautiful this time of year.  The weather is warm enough that everything is green and blooming.  I've never seen it dead.
