Hey Wendy,
I was checking out prices today, saw something really weird have you ever seen this , you select your resort see the price go forward to almost booking it to where the tax is inc and then the price ( before tax ) goes down ? WTF , is it the real price ? I saw a price go from $898 down to $607     so I checked out a few more sites and the same thing .

Tish, yes I have seen that before.
That is why quite often when I see a so-so or not-bad price for a resort I'm looking at, I go through right to the booking screen to see what the final price is and this weird little anomoly has popped up before.

I know you can't really "jump all over this" right now, but anytime your vacation timing is flexible, grab these weird ones, because they usually go back up to the higher price the next day.

that's how we got the Iberostar Cozumel so cheap last year.

It was with Air Canada Vacations and when we clicked through it was $200 less.

I just checked Cozumel for June 23 and the Allegro comes up $853 but when you click through it is $589.

I wish I could take advantage of it.     :(

yeah, it seems to happen most often with Air Canada vacations which is a huge bonus because they are usually the most expensive

Too bad you couldn't take advantage of that one Heather, now that you are a certified diver  :(

I think Bulldog booked about 5 days after we did, and we booked about a month in advance.

Congrats on your booking....My advise... do not look at any travel sites in May & June... there are some incredible deals around that time.. however you are going "home" ... I booked long time ago (seems like) for my May 5th departure... PRDO doesn't really sell off that much..but I can tell you I wont' be watching June... in the past 3 years I have seen the most incredible deals... will keep watching Greece for September ...

We were in Varadero in June 2004.  Hot - not as humid as August - but the mosquitoes were like little helicopters.  My wife ended off in the emergency ward upon our return as the "mossies" had infected her leg pretty badly.  She was very swollen and lived on aintibiotics for a couple of weeks.  Needless st say, we won't be going back to Cuba in June ever again  :duh:
