underwater photography
« on: September 26, 2005, 10:04:00 PM »
For those of you interested in underwater photography, I just stumbled across this site tonight:

 http://www.uwpmag.com/

Underwater Photography Magazine, it's a web magazine, free subscription (just supply an email address) and you download the issues in PDF format.  Lots of info about the equipment, tips and techniques and some of the  most breath taking underwater pictures I've seen!
Twenty years from now you will be more disappointed by the things you didn't do than by the ones you did do. So throw off the bowlines. Sail away from the safe harbor. Catch the trade winds in your sails. Explore. Dream. Discover.

Thanks for the link, there are some incredible pictures. I loved the picture of the diver in front of the huge Sun fish and the Sperm Whale looking straight on at the camera, mouth open, amazing to get these shots.

Did you see the footage of the first giant squid to be caught on camera ? It was shown on UK news this weeks and although the footage is only brief, it is amazing to see. I was wondering if it made the news with you guys ?

yeah, that was pretty wild, but I'd hate to see one of those squids while diving...     ;)
