Hi Deb.
I'm thinking that the Sea and Sea units are around the same price, have a look in some local dive shops and ask about the sea and sea camera's.  i know that they are just introducing new models now so there may be some good deals to be had.

the one in the ebay listing is a 3.2 megapixel, the new ones coming out are starting at 8 Megapixel, the higher the megapixel count, the more info in the picture and better detail is possible.  Also check into the prices for extra memory cards, my rule is to have one for land pictures and one for diving pictures just in case the darned thing springs a leak when you're diving.

 hope that helps.     :D

i am with johnny on this one deb.
my cousin bought a bonica film camera years ago in cancun, it was a camera in a case, i did not like it .
you can buy cases to fit most cameras for around $200 to $300. [another option?] www.vistek.ca or www.sanealcameras.com

btw  how's your cold?? i have a splitting headache  with mine now.

good point David.
I got an underwater housing for my Sony, from Sony, it sells for about $250.  One thing to watch out for, Sony keeps pushing their "corrective filter" basically a red filter to put the red back into your pictures that gets lost when diving below 16'.  Filter kit is $110 !!!!

I'll keep my eye's on Ebay, and in the mean while  I'll just use the handy little tool I found for Photoshop.

Gotta agree with John here..  That photoshop tool works wonders for a whole lot less than $110!

It looks like a good camera for "water-sports" but it's pretty much useless for real diving...  My third dive on my first training course, would have sunk it...  It's only good for 33 ft. and we spent 40 min @ 60ft. .

What I'm interested in is a camcorder with the waterproof housing.

Something that is good to take diving so it must be good to at least 100 feet.

I've looked at a few nice ones, but I can't find any housing for them especially the panasonics.
