Ok guys,
try putting your link into your profile now, and see if it works.

 fingers crossed

As you will see my avatar is up and running.  Don't worry when you cut and paste the url into the box provided because the space does not appear large enough, it will still fit in OK even though you can't see all the url yourself.

What you have to do is go to your profile and click on 'Select a different Avatar Image' then in the box where it says 'Use Custom URL: you highlight the custom URL and paste in your own,

Then Hey Presto everything should work.

flopnfly:

 Ref. 'MY Profile'

IMHO we need more spaces in the 'signature'.

I tried to add a 'daisypath' countdown today  but when I went to update my profile this is the message I received:

Your signature is too long. You may have no more than 250 characters in your signature. You currently have 269 characters

Mr B
Why do you need a daisy path, I thought you didn't care about how many more sleeps.

Mr B

Thanks for pointing that out, everything is set to default settings so I guess we'll just have to make adjustments as we discover the need.

If anybody else finds any oddities, let me know and we'll fix it.

guess not :-( at least I can't see myself, each time I go back and do as you say, I see my Avatar, I say choose this avatar, I see it on my profile, then nothing here ... then when I go back to Profile, its gone ... and yes I save it, or update Profile ... ???

Shine:
Once you have pasted your new URL into the box alongside where it says 'Use Custom URL' you then hit the 'Set URL' box.

Your new avatar should then appear in the top left hand corner of the window.   You must then hit 'Select This Avatar' which is directly underneath your new avatar.   Then you must hit 'Update Profile'

It should work OK then.   I know when I changed mine earlier today I couldn't get it to work simply because I had forgotten to hit the 'Select This Avatar' box.

Hope this helps you sort it out.
