Funny, but I don't remember paying it in the DR either, just in Cuba.  We might have, but I don't remember it.  I know it was included in Jamaica.

Doubt you will have to pay as you are flying scheduled and it will be included in your package.

Hola

When we get on the bus to go to the resort I am sure we will be told if we have to pay a departure tax.

Things could have changed by now.

Hey Heather

I still have had no further replies (on the other forum)as to the Departure Tax in Mexico.

Lets throw caution to the wind......

We can spend all our money in Mexico but save some of those pencils you were donating to the Orphanage.   :1:

We may have to sell them at the Airport in Mexico to get money to get out of the Country.   :7:  ...........

I'm sure we'll be told at our orientation meeting, if not I'll ask.

I think I read somewhere that we can use the ATM machines to get money out, so we should be ok even if we do spend all of our money.

I have no idea how much to bring, so I'll just pack another suitcase full of money.  Bulldog, do you mind carrying another suitcase?     :D      :rof:    :rof:

well, maybe Gambitt, Wossa and myself will find some lost spanish gold while we're diving, then we won't have to worry about saving some money for the departure tax...    :rof:

Don't forget us 'non' divers will want our share of any pieces of eight you might locate!!!!

The Cubans believe in sharing and as we are all Cubalovers I think we should follow their lead!!!!!

it would be a group "find" Mr B.  Not to worry.

Mind you, as Flygt pointed out, it may just extend our stay in Mexico...     ;)
