American Airlines online
« on: August 31, 2005, 04:21:00 PM »
Fairly urgent request.
Has anyone ever booked directly through an airline (online)?

I've been corresponding with Flight Centre but just not getting the right "feeling" from them.

I went online to AA and they offer the same flights, same money, less the service charges AND I can choose my seats.

What's the opinions? Think I should just book through AA ONLINE, I'm just a little skeptical about it, for whatever reason.

Shine:

I have booked on the American Airlines UK  website a couple of times in the past when booking flights from Birmingham (UK) to Las Vegas.

No problems with them at all.

Hi Shine: Wouldn't that be the same as booking with Air Canada, CanJet or WestJet? You're going to be paying with a credit card, so you should have some security there. Also, check out their cancelation or change policy. Probably similiar to the other airlines.

I've booked with AC, WestJet and Jetsgo online and never had a problem with any of them. As luck would have it, the flight I was booked on when Jetsgo went Jetsgone, was a WestJet flight. Phew.
